Exports and imports by counterpart area (Annual)
Economy and FinanceThis table provides information on both Exports and Imports of goods and services by main partner zone. • Annual data is expressed in thousands of euros and is available both in nominal and volume terms. • The fixed composition is applied to trading partner zones. Currently, the European Union consists of 27 member countries, among which 20 have adopted the Euro as their official currency. • The data presented in the table is compiled in accordance with the methodology and standards outlined in the ESA 2010 manual to ensure comparability and consistency. • The data spanning 1995 to 2020 are final and will not undergo further revision. • Chain-linked volume aggregates are expressed with reference to the year 2020, where the index is set to 100, serving as the baseline against which changes in the real (inflation-adjusted) volume of the measured variables in other periods are compared. • Figures in the tables may be subject to rounding, which can result in slight discrepancies in totals or calculated values. -

Family Children beneficiaries and benefits
The data on expenditure under the various social protection schemes are drawn up according to the ESSPROS (European System of integrated Social Protection Statistics) Manual issued by Eurostat. Generally, the objectives of ESSPROS are to provide a comprehensive, realistic and coherent description of social protection which: (i) covers social benefits and their financing; (ii) is geared towards international comparability; and (iii) is completely harmonised with other statistics, particularly the National Accounts, in its main concepts. The Family/Children function contains the following benefits: Marriage Grant, Maternity Benefit, Maternity Leave Benefit, Re-marriage Grant, Children's Allowance, Foster Care Allowance and Social Assistance for Single Parents. Spatial ESSPROS data is represented per 1000 population. The data source used to compile the beneficiaries data is the System for the Administration of Social Benefits (SABS) database held by the Department of Social Security. Beneficiaries are grouped according to their ID card number. If a person received a particular benefit more than once in a calendar year, the records show one beneficiary. Beneficiaries obtaining more than one benefit under the same function are counted once. Beneficiaries living abroad are not included in the data. -

Findings of an environmental monitoring survey in the SE Aquaculture Zone in Malta
This dataset consists of findings of the survey work carried out for an Environmental Monitoring System (EMS) - Tender / Advert No. 101 / 2013, which specifies the requirements for an environmental monitoring survey in the SE Aquaculture Zone in Malta. The survey campaign occurred in 2014 following the same methodology used in previous surveys (2006, 2008, 2010). The purpose of the study was to analyse the seabed typology on the basis of grain-size values obtained from the various sediment sampling stations. This data was included as part of the dataset used for one of the co-financed EU LIFE+ Funding Programmes - LIFE BaĦAR for N2K project. This data was funded by of one of the co-financed EU LIFE+ Funding Programmes - LIFE BaĦAR for N2K project. -

Fisheries Management Zone and Internal Waters
The original data was provided by CSD in WGS 84 and subsequently transformed by ERA into ETRS89TM33. ERA has processed the data for reporting obligations emanating under the Marine Strategy Framework Directive. The water column boundary for MSFD purposes shall be taken as a boundary which extends to 25 nm without prejudice to Malta's jurisdiction beyond this limit. This incorporates the WFD Coastal Waters. -
Fishing Activity Maps at 2-3 Knots for Swordfish
These datasets were manipulated and produced in aggregated maps by showing the intensity of VMS (and not the effort) by a methodology used in the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture. Since most of the vessels are under 12 m and have no VMS, these maps represents only a fraction of the Drifting Long Lines vessels - 7% of the vessels targeting swordfish. For this datasets of vessel trips targeting swordfish, at a speed of 2-3 knots (indicative of hauling) were taken into consideration. This data was funded by of one of the co-financed EU LIFE+ Funding Programmes - LIFE BaĦAR for N2K project. -
Fishing Activity Maps at 2-3 Knots for Tuna
These datasets were manipulated and produced in aggregated maps by showing the intensity of VMS (and not the effort) by a methodology used in the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture. Since most of the vessels are under 12 m and have no VMS, these maps represents only a fraction of the Drifting Long Lines vessels - 59.1% of the vessels targeting Tuna. For this dataset of tuna 2-3 knots for hauling and speed were taken into consideration. This data was funded by of one of the co-financed EU LIFE+ Funding Programmes - LIFE BaĦAR for N2K project. -
Fishing Activity Maps at 4-5 Knots for Dolphinfish (Lampuki)
These datasets were manipulated and produced in aggregated maps by showing the intensity of VMS (and not the effort) by a methodology used in the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture. Since most of the vessels are under 12 m and have no VMS, these maps represents only a fraction of the vessels - 24% of the vessels targeting dolphinfish (lampuki). For this datasets of vessel trips targeting dolphinfish, at a speed of 4-5knots (indicative of hauling) was taken into consideration.
